The
Importance of Distinct Characters in Movies
A review about the movie "The Lord of the Rings"
By

“The Lord
of the rings: the return of the king” is a movie based on the intensively
touching book from the author J. R. R. Tolkien – the book is a classic fantasy
novel, which revolves around a magical, seductive ring with dark powers. The
book is a masterpiece of the English Literature.J. R. R.
Tolkien’s timeless adventure follows the exploits of two friends – the two
feisty young hobbits Frodo and Sam and their journey to Mordor in the company
of the wicked and duplicitous Gollun to destroy the magical and powerful ring.
“Return of the king” dispatches its characters to their destinies with a grand
and eloquent confidence. Notwithstanding the marvelous creativity linked to the
movie, the story is just a little too silly to carry the emotional weight of a
masterpiece. The movie contains epic actions sequences of awe-inspiring scope
(including the massive of troops for the final battle), and the two most
inimitable special-effects creations are Gollun, who seems as real as anyone
else on the screen, and a monstrous spider named Shelob. The hobbit
Frodo is the main character and this hobbit has to destroy the ring that
reveals a moral exposition of good and evil. This character named Frodo suffers
a lot when in the main scene, he fights with the Gollun and while they are
fighting, the Gollun bites the Frodo’s finger where the evil ring was and the
Frodo’s finger is ripped out while the Gollun steals the ring. In this
marvelous and dramatic scene, the Gollun puts the ring on his own finger while
he is falling in the abyss where the ring is destroyed by the fire from the
mountain and where the decision to totally destroy the evil ring is taken into
consideration.
The final
battle is kind of magnificent. We see men and even an army of the dead join the
battle against Orcs, flying dragons, and vast lumbering elephantine creatures
that serve as moving platforms for machines of war. Sauron is the biggest enemy
in the Middle Earth and this enemy wants to find the evil ring just to dominate
all the existence but the ring is in the Frodo’s hands.
In
addition, the plot of this movie reveals the eternal fight between good and
evil while the mission of the small hobbit is just to destroy the evil ring but
at the same time Frodo is attracted by it and sometimes Frodo tries to defend
this ring against different kinds of enemies.
In conclusion, Frodo, being the main character,
has a long journey just to destroy the ring. Also, Frodo has matured and grown
in his long journey. Summing up, this movie is the voice of a magical
imagination, which adults insist on forgetting.
